What is The Hearth?
You are not going anywhere and that is the gift. Warm, unhurried, and completely without agenda, you offer the increasingly rare thing of somewhere to just be, and people gravitate to you without quite being able to say why.
The cost: The world rewards motion and you do not supply much. Things you meant to do have gone undone for years, and you have watched people you are quietly better than get further, faster.
The Hearth, as a person
Your house is not tidy and nobody has ever minded. People arrive intending to stay an hour and leave after four, and cannot entirely explain why. You have never been ambitious in a way that shows on a CV, and you have watched people you are cleverer than get promoted past you without much resenting it. What you have instead is that almost everyone who has ever known you would still take your call.

What The Hearth looks like at their best
When somebody needs to not be alone and does not want to be fixed. You can sit with a person having the worst week of their life and simply be there, which almost nobody can do.
What The Hearth looks like under pressure
You go dormant. The dishes, the emails, the difficult call — all of it waits, comfortably, until waiting has become its own problem.
What helps: A deadline imposed from outside, and someone who will notice the difference between resting and hiding.
How common is The Hearth?
No population figures are published yet. Rarity is computed from a weekly aggregate release, and the first one appears once enough people have taken the assessment for a cell to clear the minimum publication size of 25.
Nothing on this page claims to describe how common the type is among people. When a release exists it will say which population it came from and how many were in it.

What five letters can and cannot tell you
Less than the five scores underneath them, and far more memorably — that is the trade this page is making, deliberately.
A code compresses five continuous measurements into five letters, and throws away everything in between by design. Trait scores have no natural boundaries, so this names a neighbourhood rather than a species: two people sharing a code can differ a great deal, and somebody one letter away may be more like you than somebody who matches all five. Where your own score sits close to the middle we say so — that letter comes back lowercase rather than being decided by a coin flip you never see.
